I’m Cristen Sousa, the upholsteress and designer behind Swede’s Den. An Upholstery & Design studio based in Vancouver, WA devoted to bringing antique, vintage and heirloom pieces back to life for homes and businesses across the Vancouver and Portland area.

I fell for the process long before seeing the final product. Give me a worn-out chair with solid bones, a stack of fabric swatches and a little creative chaos and I’m right where I belong. I love hunting down old treasures and I’m almost always stitching something up for someone.

Every piece that comes through the studio has a story and my job is to make sure it gets a few more healthy chapters.
